Mantas Kauspedas, is one of the most promising swimmers in Lithuania, has been defending the name and honor of Klaipeda and Lithuania in the youth group for years.

Mantas is a multiple Lithuanian boys' record holder in the under-15 and up-to-17 age categories. Currently, he holds 35 national age group records. 3 times Mantas broke the Lithuanian National Record in the 50 backstroke (Long course 50 m & Short course 25 m).

In 2022, Mantas was awarded the title of Lithuanian swimming master. Recognized as the best swimmer in the city of Klaipeda, he received the "Young Talent" award from the city.

His achievements include being the Lithuanian champion for 2023-2024, winner of the Nordic and Baltic championships. He also achieved an honorable 3rd place at the European Youth Festival.

Mantas repeatedly has to compete with the best Lithuanian and European swimmers and surprised both Lithuanian and European specialists with his results. In 2023 summer, he was not only noticed and positively evaluated, but also invited to study at a private school in England, where he continues his academic studies and has the best conditions for training.

In 2024 Mantas continues to showcase his dedication and talent on the international stage. His participation in the World Championship in Qatar highlights his commitment to excellence and his ambition to compete among the best swimmers in the world.

Mantas has stormed to victory in the 50m Backstroke to become the new European Junior Champion 2024 with a huge new Lithuanian Record of 24.68! 4x100 Mixed Medley Relay Mantas led off the Lithuanian team with a huge performance of 54.68 on the backstroke which was a Lithuanian record and gave Lithuania a huge start and Bronze Medal in the final result.

In 2024, Mantas took 11th place in the 25-meter pool at the World Championships and twice improved the Lithuanian record. He became the first Lithuanian in history to complete the 50-meter backstroke in a short pool in less than 23 seconds (22.91).

At the solemn 2024 Klaipėda City Sports Awards Ceremony, Mantas was awarded the "2024 YOUNG TALENT OF THE YEAR" trophy.
